Havertown Township Adult School Appoints Thomas M. Firchow to Board of Directors
Havertown, PA — January 28, 2016 — Havertown Township Adult School (HTAS), serving this community with quality education, information, community development and recreation programs that are convenient and affordable, today announced the appointment of Thomas M. Firchow to its board of directors, effective immediately.
Firchow is the CEO of The Firchow Company. He founded the company in 2003, and spearheads consulting, content creation, and business growth strategies for companies.
"Firchow brings a wealth of marketing experience to HTAS and will play a key role on the Technology and Public Relations committees as HTAS continues executing its vision of providing quality education," said Mary Bear Shannon, HTAS president. "His expertise and proven track record will be a tremendous asset to HTAS."
While running his consulting firm, Firchow also held senior executive positions with Shooters, Inc., ShadowBox Pictures, ArtsTribe, PECOAdelphia, and AT&T.
"To be selected to sit on the Havertown Township Adult School's board is quite an honor," said Firchow. "I'm impressed with HTAS's directional focus towards the continuing education space – Havertown Township and its surrounding communities - and intend to leverage my marketing and digital content experience to enhance HTAS's vision even further."
Firchow received his degree in Business Administration from Villanova University. He also serves as an Advisory Board member of Sheltered Yoga.
About Haverford Township Adult School
In 1957, the Haverford Township School District and the Recreation Advisory Board of the Haverford Township Board of Commissioners engaged in a joint educational venture known as the "Haverford Township Adult Evening Classes." Due to the success of such educational venture, the Haverford Township Adult School was formed in 1959 as a non-profit, independent corporation with a new name and an all volunteer Board of Directors dedicated to adult community education. For more than 50 years, the School has successfully provided adults from Haverford and surrounding communities with programs that reflect the needs of all educational and personal backgrounds.

NEMOURS HOSPITAL for CHILDREN SELECTS THE FIRCHOW COMPANY TO PRODUCE 10TH ANNUAL GALA VIDEO
The Firchow Company was selected to produce the keynote video for the 10th annual gala to benefit Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. It is one of the most anticipated social gatherings of the year. Often described as “the best party in Wilmington,” the gala took place on the magnificent grounds of Nemours Mansion and Gardens.
Nemours President and CEO David J. Bailey introduced the video to over 700 guests that evening. "We're proud to be associated with Nemours Children's Health System, and to be selected to produce such a significant presentation. The stories of Manny, Capucine, and Annie are so compelling, they brought sighs, applause, and tears to the eyes of many in the crowd." said Tom Firchow, CEO of The Firchow Company.
The Nemours Gala Video was a collaborative project with production and post-production support from Chris Gabella and his team at Standard Production Company. "This was our first partnership project, and the smooth process and results help pave the way for future projects, together." mentioned Firchow.
